A Time of Pruning

A Time of Pruning

We worked as a team. Ronnie used the hedge trimmer to cut several inches off the lush green stems and shape into pretty mounds. I came behind him with my clippers to thin out some of the thick growth so the dense plants wouldn't trap moisture and the tiny green leaves deep inside the shrub could get some air. Lavender September

September Days

I love September. The hot summer days blend with the cooler nights and gradually bring us into the perfect mixture of early fall weather. Not too hot. Not too cold. First Anniversary

First Anniversary

This coming week marks our first anniversary in starting Joy Lavender Farm. It's been a year packed with activity. Another neighbor joined in with his tractor and larger blade. Amazing! This was just the beginning of our journey. There were to be many obstacles...

There were so many decisions to make.  At the end of the day, we arrived at one definite conclusion.  We could...

We were often on the receiving end of the generosity of Jack and his wife Wanda. They loved us and looked for ways to show it...no strings attached. Through the years we have known a handful of other people who had the gift of giving. When we were poor newlyweds, a dear soul left us a twenty dollar bill most Sundays at the church where we served....
